The political environment has led to attacks on the attorney-client privilege. As an attorney of 46 years, this is extremely frightening. Every person has a right to counsel of their choice. As an attorney, if you represent someone unpopular, or that the media does not like, then the attorney will be persecuted and likely prosecuted for doing his or her SWORN duty. They also are likely to go after business, your family, etc. etc.
